  • Wow! It has been quite a while since I’ve posted here (or even looked here). Things have dramatically changed over the seven months. And they’ve all been for the better. I think it’s about time I get back into the swing of posting here just for the hell of it. I wouldn’t want to disappoint my millions of four readers.

Now go on and get back to your lives. I’ll be rippin’ and tearin’ in the meantime.

  • I will start this post out with one very important fact in order to clarify that this isn’t a bashing in any sort of way. I love Foursquare. I’ve been an active user for a quite a while now and have “checked-in” hundreds of times (as of this post, 328 times). As long as you use it wisely, it is a great method of social networking. But I have been getting on my last nerve with it lately and have slowed my use down to simply to checking into existing places I had used it at previously. No more do I use it when going to new places and I am letting my amount of mayorship diminish. And I just don’t care.

So why am I slowly letting go of my love for Foursquare? Simply put, it’s becoming more and more of a cluttered mess everyday.

I’m sure that many of you have seen the now infamous Old Spice commercials featuring Isaiah Mustafa (videos after the break) that have sparked a ton of praises even from those who may have not ever cared about Old Spice in the first place. And while I am also a huge fan of the Terry Crews commercials, the ones featuring Isaiah Mustafa have brought myself and tons around me a lot of joy and laughter.

So how do you take such a genius marketing phenomenon and keep it from dying? Well, of course, you just have Mr. Mustafa upload video responses to tons of internet fans!

  • There was an interesting article on the front page of Yahoo! when I looked this morning titled “10 Phrases That Can Sink Your Resume” and it caught my eye. While my resume is currently in the business of dust collection, I still found it to be very helpful.

I personally feel that I have a very good resume when it comes to appearance and layout. It is one that many of my friends/colleagues have used as a model to reconstruct theirs or start from scratch. So I figured I would pass on and share the key portion of the article with you…

  • I forgot who it was that said that even the world’s greatest writers can stumble to a halt when asked to write about themselves. That statement couldn’t be closer to the truth.

So what do you do when you can’t think of a good introduction?
